When I started taking pictures, it took me a while to come to grips with the amount of post-processing that's routinely done on published pics these days. But you know what they say..."If you can't beat 'em, join 'em". The original pic wasn't particularly interesting, but those seem to be the best shots to just have fun with.
I always find it interesting how some will talk down the use of post techniques,and rave about their shots that are SOOTC. I can honestly say, Ive not seen many that could not benefit from setting the White and Black Levels--at a minimum. And quite honestly, post processing has been around since the dawn of photography. It's a part of the art. A part of controlling the emotion of the image.
